CodePaw is built with privacy at its core. Here is exactly what we do — and don’t do — with your information.
Last updated: March 2026
The short version: CodePaw collects no personal data whatsoever. Everything the app does — AI conversations, voice, image generation, and learning — runs entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to us or any third party. No accounts, no tracking, no cloud.
CodePaw is developed and published by Chris Vanderplank (Intrepid-Developer), trading as Chris Vanderplank, based in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at chris@intrepid-developer.com.
We collect no personal information. CodePaw does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any identifying information to use the app.
All data created while using CodePaw — including chat messages, settings, and your profile picture — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple’s on-device storage (SwiftData and standard app storage). This data never leaves your device.
Every feature in CodePaw runs entirely on-device using Apple’s built-in frameworks:
CodePaw contains no analytics, no crash reporting services, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We do not use any third-party data collection tools. We have no way of knowing how you use the app, and we have designed it that way deliberately.
CodePaw requests network access for one purpose only: to communicate with Apple’s App Store to verify and manage your subscription via StoreKit. No personal data, conversation content, or usage information is included in these communications — they are standard App Store purchase verification requests handled entirely by Apple.
You can review Apple’s privacy practices at apple.com/privacy.
CodePaw offers an optional annual subscription (CodePaw Premium) at £9.99/year. Some free lessons are available in the app so families can experience CodePaw before subscribing. CodePaw Premium supports Apple Family Sharing, so Apple may make the subscription available to eligible members of your family group under Apple’s rules and settings. All subscription purchases are processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple’s purchase records are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
CodePaw is rated 13+ on the App Store under Apple’s age-rating guidelines. Because we collect no personal data whatsoever, there is no risk of a child’s information being collected, stored, or transmitted by this app. CodePaw complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK Children’s Code by design — no information is ever collected from any user, child or adult.
All AI content is generated by Apple Intelligence and is subject to Apple’s on-device safety filters. CodePaw additionally instructs the AI to keep all responses age-appropriate.
All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework and standard iOS/macOS app storage. This data is protected by your device’s built-in security (including device encryption and Face ID / Touch ID access controls). We have no access to this data at any time.
Deleting the app from your device will permanently remove all associated data.
We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose any user data to any third party, because we do not collect any user data to share. Full stop.
Because CodePaw does not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end. All your data lives on your device and is entirely under your control. You can delete it at any time by deleting the app or clearing app data through your device settings.
If you are in the UK or EU and have questions about your rights under GDPR or UK GDPR, please contact us at chris@intrepid-developer.com and we will respond promptly.
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the revised version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of CodePaw after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
